Welcome!

This is my first real entry into the world of blogging. It's a bit like the first day of middle school: "What should I say?" "What should I wear?" "Will they like me?" "What am I even doing here?" I hope that this blog will serve as a learning tool and a reality check for me (and maybe others) as I move through the graduate school process. I'm nervous . . . I'm excited . . . I'm ready.
